On Saturday night, Natalia Vodianova hosted the fourth annual Love Ball in Monte Carlo, wearing showstopping red Christian Dior Haute Couture. The Naked Heart Foundation’s charity fundraiser provides care for disadvantaged children in Russia and was held under the High Patronage of H.S.H Prince Albert II and the Presidency of H.S.H Princess of Monaco and H.R.H Princess of Hanover at the Salle Garnier of The Opera in Monte Carlo. The dress code? Sixties Riveria chic. Rock and fashion royalty dressed accordingly and descended on Monaco to help celebrate.
Princess Charlene of Monaco in a Atelier Versace, Antoine Arnault, Bono, Karl Lagerfeld, Mario Testino and Margherita Missoni were all in attendance to support Vodianova and the foundation, and to bid on extravagant items—everything from a private tennis lessons with Rafael Nadal to an internship at Chanel under the tutelage of Karl Lagerfeld. After the auction (which raised more than 3.2 million euros) ended, the audience enjoyed performances by maestro Valery Gergiev, prima ballerina Diana Vishneva of St. Petersburg’s Mariinsky orchestra and ballet, and Grammy award winners bass soloist Ildar Abdrazakov and violinist Maxim Vengerov. Post-dinner, the party moved into the casino where guests gambled until the wee hours.
