When in Rome, do as the Romans do and head to the newly opened Kook, a serious stunner of a restaurant. This airy yet welcoming space was designed by two-man architecture firm Noses, who chose to complement the Mediterranean menu with the ultimate symbol of longevity, the olive tree. The focal point of the room is a truly gnarly specimen encased in glass, and it’s the kookiest part of the decor, adding a touch of nature-inspired whimsy to an otherwise stark design scheme. Kook is located about a half an hour’s drive outside of the city center, but don’t let that stop you: their pizza alone is worth the trek.2-2-2013 4-32-36 PM2-2-2013 4-33-56 PM2-2-2013 4-34-16 PM2-2-2013 4-33-07 PM2-2-2013 10-59-53 PM2-2-2013 10-58-29 PM2-2-2013 4-36-49 PM2-2-2013 11-00-24 PM2-2-2013 4-35-17 PM2-2-2013 4-34-51 PM2-2-2013 10-57-27 PM
