New Yorkers are a notoriously jaded lot, but on Wednesday night, a group of models, actors, journalists, designers and more huddled outside Barneys New York on Madison Avenue with eyes wide open and mouths agape. They’d gathered to watch the launch of Electric Holiday, a holiday extravaganza brought to life with the Walt Disney Company.
Barneys CEO Mark Lee and Disney CEO Bob Iger presented the windows with Sarah Jessica Parker but the hit of the evening was no doubt the moving-art video, featuring real-life fashion stalwarts like Glenda Bailey and Linda Evangelista, but there were also Mickey Mouse ears designed by Rag & Bone and L’Wren Scott, glowing drinks, gifts aplenty and a life-size Minnie Mouse decked out in Lanvin.

Watch as Minnie embarks on a fantastical fashion adventure in Paris, where she walks the runway in Lanvin and rubs elbows with fashion-world figures like Linda Evangelista, Daphne Guinness, Naomi Campbell, Lady Gaga and many more. If you ask me, it’s the perfect combination of wit, fantasy and style with which to ring in the holidays!
