July is the most popular time to take Summer Vacations and if you are going to Italy, I particularly would like to recommend you my friends this wonderful Hotel & Spa.
A new boutique hotel gives travellers yet another reason to visit the Amalfi Coast this summer. The 17th-century Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa, once a monastery, opened in May in the little town of Conca dei Marini, between Amalfi and Praiano.
Restored to its former charm, the luxury hotel has just 20 rooms, with spectacular views of the Amalfi Coast. Architects retained many of the building’s original features, and added state-of-the-art facilities: an infinity pool that sits right on the cliff edge, a glass lift up the outside of the hotel, and a luxury spa. On the terrace of the restaurant – which uses organic produce grown in the hotel’s own garden – there’s an outdoor fireplace for chillier evenings.
Guests who wander through the garden of bougainvillea, jasmine, mint, and rose—created by the same landscape architect who tends to the Vatican’s Papal Gardens—and down to the cliffside infinity pool are in good company: Princess Charlene of Monaco was among the first to swim laps.
The luxurious treatment suites are designed to offer different experiences from double dry treatment couches and double wet treatment tables, steam room, “experience showers” with mint and mango essence, indoor hydrotherapy pool, mosaic heated benches to whirlpool foot baths, all of which combine to provide the most sumptuous spa experience on the Amalfi Coast.
