The store broke with tradition and went 3-D for the first time by making an animated film that narrates the themed windows The world-famous store created a dreamy tableau starring a cast of marionettes, interlocking cogs, and a celebrity ornament collection that includes designs by Kenneth Cole, Sean John, and others this year.
With the help of animation and optical illusion, each ornament demonstrates the power of wishes. Keeping with the theme, actual wishes from the Make-A-Wish Foundation children are displayed as part of the installation. While the window displays were a trip down memory lane for the store, there was still a nod to the present.
